W anyway, theyll do 1. Unless you want to have all the zones on all the time, most people install about that size system for that your size house so it isnt crazy. EDIT OTOH if you want your place to be like a fridge, which is how I like it, you may well need the next size up. The Daikin uses inverter technology which will scale down, albeit in discrete steps, but I cant see any great advantage in having more intermediate settings. As long as it isnt always full on or full off, youll save money, so that applies to both systems. The Actron is suppose to be able to run at 1. W Actron ESP Ultima single phase in a newly built house very similar in size and zoning to yours. In our previous home, which was also much the same size, we had a Daikin 1. If you decide on Actron I definitely recommend getting a zone controller in every room. Its really flexible and very convenient to be able to switch zones on and off from within the room and to set a different temperature in every room. Of course, youll pay a premium for Actron theyre not cheap but definitely worth it in my book. But hey, Daikin are good too A lot of what goes into making a ducted system good is the installation. If you do go with Actron use only an Actron Platinum dealerinstaller. I see youre in Brisbane if you want to whim me Ill let you have the name of the guys who did ours.
